A little devotional for the day (thanks to LJ)... The purpose of our life before God is not to be self-sufficient with all our ducks in a row. Our salvific journey is not one of pulling ourselves up from the bootstraps with God standing by and giving us pointers. It is God who redeems and sanctifies. We wait for him and he saves us - him alone...It will be said on that day, "Behold, this is our God; we have waited for him, that he might save us. This is the Lord; we have waited for him; let us be glad and rejoice in his salvation."
