we did a lot of
paint, paint, painting!!!
we are planning to move into my parents' basement at the end of july. phillip will be finishing his studies from there. the basement has 3 bedrooms, living room, kitchenette, bathroom w/ laundry and a storage room!!! memorial day weekend was the ONLY time we had to repaint the dark dungeon! in five days we drove 18+ hours, painted from 8a-midnight each day and got it all done!!! we primed everything. (cement walls, wood paneling, new sheetrock, ceilings, doors, & woodwork) then we painted the woodwork white and added some color to the walls. wow, what a difference a little color makes. an extra special thanks to mandy (just what a new college graduate wants to do), alan (for his painting expertise), laurie (for watching the kiddos), dad (for always being extremely surprised at our progress and offering endless words of praise) & mom (for giving us permission to paint).

Unbelievable! It looks great!! I can't believe you got it all done in one weekend. You guys are amazing. It'll be so nice to move into come time.
looks awesome! when do you guys move? and what is your new address? your new "dungeon" looks bigger than atherton- 3 bedrooms! i guess, just not quite the same window views! ;) i am excited for you guys. does this mean free babysitting???
