aunt becky's family has horses...and they love horses!
thankfully aunt becky can pass on the love for large animals to my children.
(although i must add that i did attend horse camp when growing up--for two years!)
here's becky and evan riding jayhawk.
evan really did like it. he didn't want to get off.
i guess his facial expressions are confusing!
haley and evan sitting on bronco. bronco is "haley's horse."
again, i think evan liked it!
ahhhh, there's my boy! a little more comfortable on a bike, eh?
now it's anabel's turn. i think the picture speaks for itself!
(again, becky did a wonderful job of warming the kids up to the horses. anabel was having a good time)
but she does seem to be a little more comfortable in the lawn chair!!! what a sweet girl!

torren, ep and af busy, busy kids!
our summer has been busy and is going fast.
we are loving every minute with these two!

I love the pictures. Those two are so cute :)
I agree. GReat pix. Love, Grandma
I'm not a large animal person myself, Missy...though I did grow up riding my girl friend's shetland pony and huge quarter horse/American saddle. Hooves like dishpans. Stepped on my foot once, but it was winter and my foot was near frozen. Didn't feel a thing. The next summer, the stinker of a shetland pony stepped on my foot and I thought I'd die from the ache of it. Good rule of thumb...keep your feet chilled. He did some other things to me which included some quick stops for grass and low hanging pine branches. My friend hooked him to a wheelbarrow, but fortunately she fell out before he charged through the gate in the yard and the wheelbarrow "exploded". Hmmm. Does this have anything to do with why I prefer smaller, sweeter animals? My horse tales for the day!
As I told Shannon on their blog, I enjoy watching you older cousins enjoy parenthood. And I also won't tell you, as I didn't tell her how fast they grow up. Have fun!
