"Let's make a tent!"
Phillip and the kids had a fun time putting this one together.
I guess we all have different ideas of "tents."

For instance, growing up, I don't think rope and air mattresses were involved in our tent making!

Almost ready!

What did they watch in their tent?
Planet Earth, of course!

Trying not to forget:

I'm not the greatest at documenting the adorable things my kids say & do.
I wish I was better because I want to remember every second!
So here's one for the record books:
I have been getting up and working out (I use that term lightly since I am 8 months pregnant!) before the kids wake up. My back has been bothering me during the night which makes it difficult to sleep. So I figure I might as well get up and get moving. It actually feels better than laying in bed!
On Wednesday morning Phillip had an early meeting so I tried to sleep in. The kids were so excited to find me still in bed when they woke up. It makes my morning to see my bedhead little blondes pitter patter out of their room together both holding their sleep necessities (EP: pooh & elephant, AF: taggie blanket & pig). They love to snuggle in the morning. But on this particular morning both kids were a little too rowdy for my comfort level. I suggested the kids go make their mom breakfast in bed.
[Note: I have never done this before, they have never done this with help, they have only read the Berenstain Bear Breakfast in Bed book.]
Evan paused for a moment and then took off at a full sprint for the kitchen.
I immediately regretted the suggestion. It took all my will power to lay there in bed and wait to see what their little imaginations would come up with.
[Another note: Our kitchen is not kid friendly. Everything is up very high. We have oatmeal 9 out of 10 mornings. None of the oatmeal ingredients are in reach.]
After what seemed like an eternity, E & A returned with a plate. As I sat up I found two pieces of bread with brown sugar carefully patted in between them. Evan was so pleased with his creation. We have never made brown sugar sandwiches before. It was really the only couple of things he could reach with a chair. The three of us shared the best breakfast sandwich I've every had.
I know it's a simple thing. But it made my morning. I love our kids!

I know I don't comment often...but I read every post.
The story of your breakfast in bed is adorable! I know you are enjoying your last month with just the two of them! And I understand well the way your back is probably aching to get the baby out.

I am feeling the strain on both ends myself. My body is ready to get the baby out (yes, I know I still have 3 more months!!!) but my mind trembles with fear to think how in the world I will manage with 4 kids. I know it will just have to be a day by day trusting God -- but anyway it makes me think how wise God is in giving our bodies the desire to be done with the pregnancy to help balance out the fear and doubt of whether I can physically and emotionally handle caring for another baby at the same time as the other ones!?!?!
By the way, your basketball baby bump is adorable...and I would say boy, but isn't that the way you look with every pregnancy?!?!
It looks so tiny!!!
