1st day of Kindergarten

5 years old

I have the privilege of being this boy's teacher.  We have decided to homeschool Evan for Kindergarten. I had a lot of fun doing preschool at home.  It was encouraging to see his development throughout the year.  I look forward to another great year!

[For Curriculum geeks out there--this is what I am starting with:  Reading-Teach Your Child to Read In 100 Easy Lessons (I really struggled with this book at first, but I have heard such good reviews...I am going to give it my best shot!), Math-Math-U-See, Primer (I love the place value understanding this program builds), Handwriting-A Reason for Handwriting, SS/Science Mini Units-Map Skills, Animals, Solar System, Human Body...to name a few and lots and lots of trade books!!!
We are also working on daily skills such as calendar and tying shoes!  It doesn't matter where you school your child at...Evan still says his favorite time of day is RECESS!]

Although she's two years younger, Anabel makes for a perfect little classmate.  I thought she might get bored with sitting at the table while we do school....but, no way is she going to miss out!

Our little buddy is having a tough time playing on his own while the other two are busy with school...

I think he'll enjoy his own time...in his own time!!!
