Sunday, November 27th.  

Who goes to cut down a Christmas tree right after church with three kids?!?!  

We do!  

We were totally expecting meltdown city.  

We hopped out of the mini-van & the owner gives us the spiel and finishes with, "there is hot chocolate and cookies inside when you are done."

Who doesn't complain when the kids pick the 3rd Christmas tree they see??!?
2 rows down, one tree in.  Perfect.
Most of the time we would have savored the moment, taken our time & looked around...but we made a smart move and Phillip went ahead and cut it down!

Parents' motivation:  To lessen the chances of meltdowns.
Kids' motivation:  Hot chocolate and cookies.

It was a success for all!
