The Hair Cut
Friday, March 2, approximately 9:15 a.m.

Anabel and I were growing out our hair for Locks of Love. Then on Friday morning, she came crying to me saying, "Evan cut my hair!!!" I could see the sides of her hair was cut to shoulder length in the front. I admit it. I was mad. I started asking (okay, maybe yelling), "Evan, did you cut her hair?" He denied it. Then Anabel admitted that she cut her hair. I walked into the bathroom and there were the scissors and two nice piles of blonde hair. She was so sad. Probably because I was upset.  Yes, I took a picture.
so sad...(someday this might be funny to her, but right now she's still pretty sensitive about the subject)
We were leaving for my brother's reception that evening.  Thankfully one of the salons in Ida Grove could get her in at 11:00.  Phew.  The hair dresser suggested that we could still cut the back pony tail and send it in.  That did make me feel better about her chop job...AND the fact that her hair cut is SUPER adorable!
Here's the classic Locks of Love picture:
The ponytail is not quite 10 inches but we are going to send it in anyway.  Maybe someone can benefit from a few blonde highlights.
We love her haircut!  Now, I have to stay strong and not cut mine until this summer.
