We have 12 Red Wattle hogs for sale. They were born earlier this spring and weigh approximately 100 pounds. 8 gilts, 2 barrows, 2 boars. They were born to registered Red Wattle sows and by a registered Red Wattle boar which means all 12 of these pigs are pure-bred and could be registered if you would like to keep some for breeding purposes.
Pasture and outdoor raised/good foragers/NO drugs or antibiotics of any kind. Big, docile, gentle, friendly, and delicious heritage breed. Red Wattles produce a lean meat that has been described as flavorful and tender. Red Wattle pork is exceptionally lean and juicy with a rich beef-like taste and texture. In blind taste tests, they have scored better than other breeds of pigs.
If you made it through all that, you've got the scoop. If you want to buy one and pay for the processing, give me a call. Seriously. : ) When these pigs get to 250# (or before) they are going to be ready to go!!! We are excited to have a freezer full of PORK!!!
LOOK at these pigs...do they seem HAPPY or what?!?!
If you are still with me and bored of swine...
here is what my sons do while I am vacuuming out the van. They tear apart the entire living room and make forts. Forts, I tell you. And they are proud.
