The Cake
My Grandma Johnson always made me whatever cake I wanted.  She always called a week before my birthday to check what kind I wanted.  I always requested Angel Food...but she still called and asked.  Her cakes were always the best.

When I make a cake for my kids' birthday, it is in memory of my grandma.  It is also a fun way for me to express my creativity.  Oh, and to make the day extra special for my children!

Anabel wanted an American Girl Doll birthday.  I was stumped for a while...but then I decided on making the cake look like an AGD box.  Four 9x13 cakes later & a lot of pink frosting, I had the base done!
(Anabel has drawn on her box--making it into Isabelle's bed!)
There were a lot of touch ups but I LOVED the finished product!  I was thankful for the "Snow Day" that allowed me to finish her cake without stressing out!
More cake pictures to follow....

I love my American Girl!
