Grandma Johnson's Birthday

Mandy was in Ida Grove on February 23rd, so we celebrated mom's birthday a few days early!  I don't want to take this for granted.  I love being with my family.  

Grandma Newhouse use to freeze corn on the cob for mom's birthday.  Thankfully, we still had some to celebrate with!  Happy Birthday Mom!  (How cute are they?!?!)    

Mandy was sneaky and bought mom this beautiful quilt that she (mom) saw at an antique store in Cherokee.  It is always fun to surprise mom! 

I will not make a habit of taking pictures during prayer time...but this has become such an important tradition in our family.  I love praying for the one who has a birthday.  Reflecting on what they mean to us.  Giving thanks for the part they play in our life.
