Christmas Date Hike (in really cold temperatures!)
Sometimes all you want for Christmas is a weekend with your spouse.  That's what we asked for this year.  Mom & dad had the kids at their house (yes, a half mile away) and we had a relaxing time together.  Thanks mom and dad!  Merry Christmas!
The kids put together Grandma & Grandpa's trees...what beauties!
Nursery.  I'm not sure how these two are related.  Their great grandparents are brother and sister.  I do know they are both C.U.T.E.!  (Anabel & Marley #3rdcousins)
These two are definitely related.  (Evan & Phillip...not Buster & Rascal)
I'm not sure where this guy came from...but I do know my kids crack me up!

Yes, there is always creativity and imaginative play going on here!
Brooks' Christmas crafts from school.

Caroling with our church was a sweet time.  This is the first year we have participated.  It was so humbling to go from assisted living to nursing home to the hospital singing to the residents.  They loved seeing the kids.  The kids did a great job.  Here we are singing to Maryann.  She recently had an abdominal surgery and is recovering in Ida Grove.  Her sweet spirit melts my heart.  She reminds me so much of my grandma...
Christmas celebrations = gymnastics competitions!  Anabel looks forward to her gymnastics Christmas party each year.  She is competing in the wheelbarrow race with her friend Allie! They each buy a $4 gift and exchange it and bring treats to share!
