Johnson Christmas
Monday, December 26th
We gathered at Mom & Dad's at 11:00 on Monday. We drove home from Ames, emptied our van, dropped all of our things and went over to mom & dad's for lunch. Anabel camped out in the back room until we started opening presents.

Grandpa Johnson's Soup in the Coop...followed by Matt's surprise 40th birthday party!
It was so fun (& tricky) to surprise Matt. We had Matt & Phillip take all of the kids inside for PJ's and a movie (so we could get set up). Phillip came back out 1 minute later and said they were done! We were expecting this to take 10-15 minutes. I had to go in and "help" the kids stall. It was a hilarious memory but it was all worth surprising Matt!
We gave Matt gifts of 40 things. The kids really had fun!

Tuesday morning PINK Shower! After celebrating Matt on Monday night, Mom hosted a shower for Luke and Karen on Tuesday morning. The cousins all gave L & K a cute little outfit and card.
Then just the girls stayed for the shower--quiche, pink fluff, pink juice, pink cookies...it was so fun!
