We love getting picture updates of Rose.  What a cutie!
February 17th
This loved little girl got to attend another ISU gymnastics meet with Grandma Laurie.  It's their birthday tradition & she loves it!
It is a special time for both of them.

While the girl is away, the boys will play!  (or try to jump the creek)
How quickly brotherly love turns into...
...who can push who into the water first!

Anabel's gymnastics recital outfit! (The drive to Denison was icy with blowing snow but gymnastics was still on...we took it slow and made it safely.)  This smile makes it worth it.

On Friday, February 24th the kids and I were planning to leave after school and head to Burlington, Iowa to meet Rose.  The weather turned bad on Thursday night.  A two hour late start was called for Friday, followed by NO SCHOOL!!  What to do?!?!  We debated (& packed our bags).   Around 9 am on Friday Phillip went out to check the roads.  Three different routes to the highway were blown shut--there was no way our minivan could make it through.  Phillip found one route to the pavement and the kids and I were off!  I drove south and very slow for 2 hours.  I knew the roads would clear up as we headed south, and they did.  With no school, we had the whole day to work our way slowly across the state.  We even stopped in Oskaloosa to see our Jensen cousins for an hour and a half!  It was all worth it to be at Luke and Karen's and hold this special little girl.
