OA Elementary Track and Field Day
Friday, May 12, 2017
On Friday morning I asked Evan to wear a red shirt so I could easily pick him out.  Too funny that 3 out of the 4 boys in the 200 meter dash were wearing RED!  Great idea!
Evan ran his heart out and placed 3rd in the 200.  Nice job buddy!
Anabel got 2nd in the 50 meter mini hurdles.  It was a fun and encouraging race for the kids to run.  She is so focused and wanted to do her best.
The 400 meter dash is more of a commitment.  I did have her practice a few times, so she knew what she signed up for.  It is a long way around the track one time.  I was proud of her endurance and determination.  She ran a great race.  I love that she loves running!
One of the last races is a 4x100 relay.  Anabel started off the 3rd grade girls' relay team.
Evan also did the standing long jump.  I think this is the funniest event.  Who just stands and jumps?!?  I think he placed 3rd in this event too.
The field day ended with good ol' tug-a-war and the "bat spin" game.  I love our small school.  I am thankful for the positive experiences our kids can have in a safe environment.  I am grateful for the opportunity to be present for these activities.
