Road Trip through the night!!!
Left Panora, Iowa at 5:30 pm
Arrived in Fruita, CO 7:30 am (6:30 am Iowa time)
Thanks to Andrew and Shannon for letting us borrow their car top carrier. It work perfectly!
We left straight from Panora, Iowa and headed West. Phillip had a goal of making it to Grand Junction, Colorado by morning. He drove through the night. We stopped every 3 hours or so for gas and restrooms. When it became apparent that he was determined the drive the whole way, the kids and I snoozed as much as we could!
WE DID IT! 6:30 am Iowa time--Fruita, CO I can't believe Phillip did it!!!
We grabbed breakfast at McDonalds and headed to a park outside of town to stretch our legs before driving through Utah!
I drove for a while and Phillip was able to sleep.
Anabel had a cold and her nose was running. The kids were troopers and did a great job reading, playing and resting in the van.
We all enjoyed the great scenery on drive.
