Day 10  Tuesday, July 25, 2017
Santa Monica Beach & Sushi

After a relaxing morning, we finally took Anabel to see a doctor at a UCLA clinic.  She had an awful ear infection, which explained all of her carsickness and inability to get rid of her cough and nasal congestion.  The doctor's visit went quickly and we were pleased with our care.  The dr. sent her antibiotic and steroid to the Costco pharmacy across the street.  Unfortunately, we waited over an hour and a half to have it filled.  The boys didn't mind looking around REI while we waited.  Phillip and the kids ate at the Costco food court while we waited.
We then drove to Santa Monica Beach.  We had planned to rent boogie boards, but instead we bought two from the beach vendor.  We were thrilled to spend as much as we had planned on the renting and now we could use the boards the next couple days!
Everyone had fun riding the waves in!
Santa Monica beach was huge!  We spent the day swimming, building sandcastles, reading and napping.
We all like the beach.
That evening Stefan and Carrie met us at the beach and we walked to their favorite sushi restaurant, Ninjin.  The kids had a good attitude and everyone was ready to embrace the experience.  Everyone loved it!!!  We started with edamame--yummy!  Our family ordered and shared four sushi rolls.  Evan's favorite was Matt's Riot Roll.
I love these kids and their willingness to try new things!
