Day 12 Thursday, July 27th
On our last beach day, we headed to Venice Beach.  We started by walking the Venice Beach Boardwalk.  There are hundreds of street vendors and performers.  Anabel and Evan bought sunglasses (so cute!).  We also enjoyed watching the skateboarders at the skate park.  We also stopped at an independent book store on the boardwalk.  Both Phillip and Evan found books they were looking for.  The kids ate a giant slice of pizza before we headed to the beach.  

Venice Beach was my favorite.  The waves were coming straight in and it was the warmest day at the beach.




All of the kids loved the beach...but Evan was the one who played the MOST in the waves.

After our day at the beach, we met Stefan and Carrie for Chinese at Mao's Kitchen.  Anabel was so excited for Chinese food!
It was great to spend time with S & C and let them show us around their city.
