On Friday, February 1st Anabel celebrated her 11th birthday (early) at Higher Ground Cafe with her friend Hannah. They made jewelry and ordered food. Grandma Laurie's friend Olin also works at Higher Ground. She was happy to see the girls.
Dear Anabel,
We are so proud of how brave you are. This year has been full of transitions. We appreciate how you have openly shared your thoughts and feelings. It allows us to support and love you better. You are a sweet and thoughtful girl. We love you to the moon and back!
Unfortunately, Anabel was sick on Sunday, February 3rd and had to stay home from school on her birthday. Anabel's stomach has had the hardest transition to Nepal. She is a trouper and watches what she eats and drinks very carefully---to make sure they are not contaminated.
February 4th, 2019
Our girl hit double sticks!
"11" .
Anabel was on the mend by Monday night--so we went out to eat at the Workshop Eatery and took donuts to Rose and Christine's Super Bowl party to celebrate.
