July 2019

After a year in Nepal, Thailand was a much needed getaway for our family.
The Juniper Tree Dolphin Bay was the perfect place for rest and refreshment.  With our accommodations, we ate all three meals on campus.  It was great fun to experience this with the Williamsons.

After our time at Juniper Tree, we had a few days just as a family at an Airbnb in Bangkok.
Not sure what we ordered! : )
Night market = street food
Foot update:
Toys for the pool.

Goodbye Thailand!

Back to Nepal...this is how a family of 5 rides in a taxi (sorry Anabel).
After reading a book as moms and daughters, we took a one day/night trek to talk through what we had learned and to pray for the upcoming school year.

Boys playing games.  I would love to host kids playing games at our house for a LONG time!
Oh, Jude.
Trip to Thamel with Shanks and Houks.
Run, Anabel, Run!
Foot update:  It's not healing.  Back for an MRI.  MRI showed a piece of bone still left in Phillip's foot.
Foot had to be cut open again.  : (

Celebrating and spoiling Maya Didi.  We would not be alive if it wasn't for Maya Didi.  She has been such a blessing to our family.  We celebrated her birthday at a local cafe with Mark and Josie.
Nepalis feed others their birthday cake.
A little different...but fun to experience!

Happy Birthday, sweet Maya!

Lunch with Samaji - my language instructor for the past year.  She has challenged me more than I could have ever imagined.  She has also been supportive and loving along the way.

Welcome to our family,
Lincoln Tyler Johnson
Luke and Karen called me after Lincoln was born.  I met him over facetime before any other family member.  I could not have felt more loved.  I love you, Lincoln Tyler.

New school year is starting...picking Joleen Bower up from the airport.  What a privilege to welcome staff to Nepal.
July 24th--moving from our Nakhipot house to our new home in Civil Homes, near KISC.  The Nepali company we used was great!  They even set up our beds at our new house.  They made it so stress free!
