June 1-5, 2021 Travel Week

 2 June 2021 

Flights to America confirmed (after many, many cancellations and rescheduled flights)

COVID test at Star Hospital 

Anabel received a positive test result

Phillip took her immediately to Mediciti for another test (suspicious of a false negative)

3 June 2021 

Received a negative COVID test result for Anabel in the morning

7 pm left our house for the airport to fly to America on Turkish Airlines.  

KTM --> Istanbul --> New York

4 June 2021 

Last day of 2020-2021 School Year at KISC (from the Istanbul airport, as you do) 

Evan received a Community Contribution Award for Grade 9 

Anabel received an Academic Excellence Award for Grade 7

When we finally landed in NYC, we were all exhausted.  The kids took over the one king bed in our hotel and Phillip and I slept on the pullout couch.  That has never happened.  

June 5, 2021 Time to explore New York!

Central Park 

American Museum of Natural History (we didn't go in)

The Metropolitan Museum of Art (we did go inside)
