we had anabel's first birthday party on saturday.
i helped my grandma make the traditional "lamb cake."
we ran with the lamb, pretty in pink theme!!!
(i think anabel loved it!)
my mom painted these letters for anabel's room.
i love the way they turned out!

anabel is one lucky girl...
she had 2 parents, 1 brother, 4 grandparents, 4 great grandparents, 2 great aunt/uncles, and two cousins at her party.
great granny (anabel) and great grandma bette.
evan (sporting one of his dad's outfits from the 80's) picked out this ball to give his sister.

the jello cake grandma johnson made anabel on her birthday (wednesday)--

Looks like you had lots of fun! Wish we could have been there. The lamb theme was super cute.
happy birthday! looks like a fun party. love the lamb cake as always, so sweet. i also love evan's outfit, that is awesome! glad anabel is feeling better.
I've been checking in to see if you'd posted the photos of her party, though I did see Tom's on his camera. Looks like a wonderful time was had by all. And now that you mention it, Evan looks great in his dad's duds....familiar, too.
Every childs needs at least that many people to help them celebrate!
And we were recalling the lamb pinata incident at the Jensens in the early 90's, where someone had to be removed from the scene because they were overcome by the violence being aimed at the tissue paper animal. I had no idea it would effect anyone that way, or I would have opted for something more traditional. Hey, it was Easter!

ok, your lamb cake is awesome! Looked like it was such a sweet party. I love all the pink!
I always had a lamb cake - it was usually covered in coconut - and not everyone loves cocnut - so there was always plenty for me. Good to catch up - I can't believe Bryce will be one soon!
