Fun to read about your family gatherings. Glad you got snowed in on the farm...if anywhere. You can imagine we weren't going anywhere for some time around here, either! Jay and Gus spent 12hrs (taking turns) on the tractor with snowblower one day. Arrggh.
I'd like to hear more about your dad's chicken coop. Gives new meaning to being "cooped up". My nephew's wife's dad (huh??) remodeled the barn where he grew up, near Carroll. They also use it for family gatherings/catered activities, etc. When he was in HS, his basketball team played their games in the hayloft of that barn. I think the floor is still marked. He drove a school bus to pick up neighbor kids at the age of 16. Julie always wondered why there was a small bus in their grove when she was growing up. Can you imagine watching your kids step onto the bus on the first day of school with a student driver? We hope to stop to see it some day.
Alisa and Marcie are left to plan activities for the yayhoos. They're back to school today, as is Jana. We've had a wonderful break...just missed Kelsey and Ryan here, but got to celebrate early with them.
