My kids out in the cold and snow.
It is a beautiful thing!

Our Iowa "mountain."

Meanwhile inside I had strep and Brooks had roseola (a high fever followed by a fun rash).
You might have to click on the picture to see the rash. It was pretty bad but I couldn't get it to show up in the pictures.

Poor guy!

Alisa had roseola...with a 105 fever...at Laurie and Al's when she was about 11months. She had a febral seizure at their house, an ambulance ride, and was in the hospital a couple days. They were going to release her, but her fever spiked again, and I was too afraid to take her back to the Jensens that night. Do you remember that, Phillip? Scary! Laurie couldn't remember their address when she called 911, but it must have come to her, as they soon showed up at the door. We could have driven to the hospital, but I felt better traveing with medics, in case. Dr. didn't know what caused the high fever at first, but suggested they would do a spinal tap for menengitis the next day, if she felt it called for that. More fright for this mom. Gus and Al were out buying supplies for the basement remodel when it happened.

Kids. They can surely give us a scare, we love them so much! Hope Brooks is feeling better. As I recall, they recover pretty fast, but it's no fun to be sick or to have a sick child.
