Future Fire Fighter?!?!
Evan says he wants to be a firefighter when he grows up. Before that it was Superman. I guess in his mind a firefighter might be the closest thing to Superman.
The Arthur, Iowa (pop. 204) Fire Department had their open house/fundraiser on June 12. Evan had a blast riding on the fire trucks and checking out the equipment.
Firefighting friends!!!This is Evan and Anabel's Sunday School class. Our church is also located in Arthur, Iowa (population 204). Pretty amazing to have so many young ones in the preschool class! We are so thankful for Teacher Kim!!
My high school friend Brian & his family were back in town. We met up and let the kid play for a while. It is so fun to hangout! We could have talked for hours!!!
Homegrown Salad (held by one hard workin' man):
Spinach from garden
Radishes from garden
Eggs from free range chickens
Yum!

Fortunately for the world, not every little boy who dreams of becoming a firefighter or a policeman grows up to be one. Where would we be without all those politicians and financial advisors??? And you'd have to throw in a farmer or two, and some teachers! But who could compete in a little boy's mind with someone who gets to drive those big trucks and fast cars with flashing lights. Throw in a dalmation or a police dog, and it's a done deal!
It's fun to "peek in" on your days of raising your little ones. And to read of the joy Jack is bringing to his mom and dad also brings back those wonderful memories of days when our kids were little. Now we get to enjoy the humor of four teenagers, watching them "come into their own"....we can only hope! Each stage brings new blessings and challenges, but the years when they are all still at home are a special blessing. It's great to watch you Jensens treasuring your families. This next generation, these great-grandkids, are blessed with moms and dads committed to being there for them. That in turn brings joy to their grandparents' (and great-grandparents') hearts.
