Brooks turns 2!
We found a Cookie Monster party to be appropriate...
he's sweet like a cookie...
he's our little monster...
he's our cookie monster!
The crew at the Cookie Monster party!
I did some Cookie Monsters with dyed blue coconut and some with blue sugar.  Not everyone loves coconut...but I prefer the crazy look of the monster with the coconut! I'm not going to lie, I was having a little too much fun while I was making these!
Brooks got lots of fun presents.  It was so nice to have Matt's family, Gma/Gpa Johnson, Aunt Mandy and Great Grandpa to celebrate with us!  My grandma always has given us $10 for our birthday, with a signed card, made special with words underlined.  My sweet, sweet Grandpa is trying his hardest to carry on her tradition.  I doubt he ever signed a birthday card before this year.  Look at that handwriting...NOT BAD for an 85 year old farmer!
One happy birthday boy.
One happy 85 year old farmer.

I so wish we had been able to make it up to Ida Grove for the party. It looks like you guys had a blast! Happy Birthday Brooks!

I love reading your blog, and don't usually comment, but that picture of the card from your grandpa made me tear up! That is PRECIOUS! :) My grandma underlines special words too :)
