kids' weights...

Brooks is wearing Evan's VBS crown. He kept saying, "I ting, I ting" (I king, I king). This kid says the funniest things and repeats everything. I'm pretty sure at two years old Evan and Anabel were not saying things like, "I beat you, I da winner!" or "I tan hartwe beweave tat!" Tonight he had me get on the hog trailer and said it was his boat. He has a great imagination for a 2 year old. The doctor asked me if he has 50 words. That's a definite "YES." He.does.not.stop.talking. It might take you a little bit to figure out what he is saying...but he's saying it! Love this kid.

Evan is growing so fast. Here he is helping plant sweet corn. Phillip said he was a trooper and worked really hard. It is nice to have his help really be helpful! He loves his friends. Yesterday he spent the day at a friends house and they went swimming at the public pool. Evan went down both water slides! He is growing up and I just want to cherish each moment. We have started "writing sentences" for discipline, i.e. "Children are to obey their parents." Nothing is perfect. But so far, it has been helpful to both of us!

This was not posed. Okay, I asked her to smile...but honestly, I looked out the sunroom door and she was running around the yard with these bunny ears on. As long as it wasn't a real bunny eating our garden, I was okay with it!
It seems as if she has officially dropped her afternoon nap but thankfully she will still rest quietly and play in her room. She can also chat your ear off. She shares a room with Evan and they love to talk before bed. Anabel may stay up chatting or looking at books...but in the morning, she LOVES to sleep in! : )
