The last time Phillip and I were at these falls was 11 years ago (2005). I had just found out I was pregnant with Evan. It was amazing to experience the falls with the kids.
The kids were so brave. Phillip had to be right there with them since the current was so strong.
Did I mention how COLD the water was?!?!? It was cold.
The kids did not care. They loved it.
Hikers would stop and watch the kids play as they passed. The kids inspired others to explore the waterfalls.
We are blessed to call these three ours.

We treated ourselves to Sydney's Frozen Custard in Grand Marais.
We were expecting to chill quietly on the rocky beach
...but before we knew it, the kids were in (freezing, cold) Lake Superior. I guess Iowa kids do not care what the water temperature is. Water is water!
