Paradise Beach
We hiked from Alan & Laurie's cabin (Wit's End) down to the Superior Hiking Trail and then down to Paradise Beach. We packed our lunches, books and snacks.
Phillip decided to swim out to this rock. As you can see, the kids then followed suit. Phillip and the three kids were on the rock strongly encouraging me to join them. It was painfully cold, but I managed to muster up enough courage to make the swim. We had a blast exploring the rock. Phillip and the older two did some rock jumping into deeper water. Brooks sliced his heal on a sharp rock. He didn't complain too much for how bad of a cut it was. We kept it secured with a homemade tourniquet (aka my shirt).
We did not plan on spending the entire day on this beach; we just went with the flow. No one wanted to leave. Everyone was content.
