Los Angeles depart 3:30, arrive 7:30 pm Doha, Qatar
Monday, March 6 (Travel Day 3)
After a 15+hour flight, we arrived in Doha. The flight was long but we had an exit seat which allowed a lot more leg room. The plane had some bad turbulence (air pockets) but otherwise good service. We both watched a couple movies & slept for a few good chunks.
No earlier flights available to Kathmandu. We purchased a 24 hour visa & left the airport to explore Doha (with Daniel & Keane). We took a taxi to Souq Waqif. We walked around the market & then down to Corniche to the water's edge. Then back to the market & ate kabobs at an outdoor restaurant. Back at the airport, more security & found a “sleeping room”. Not quiet, but something.
Plan is to sleep here before flight on Tuesday. (It's 12:28 am now)
