Thursday, March 9 (Nepal Day 2)
Coffee and oatmeal at guest house
15 minute walk to KISC. Arrived at 8:15 for assembly.
MJ observed Year 4 class (9-10 year olds)
PJ coffee shop
9:50 both met with Virginia
10:10 loaded bus to head to Athletics Day
Traffic jammed (even more than usual) long bus ride. Athletics day was at an army training camp. Kids & parents were having a blast. Talked with Arbin, Virginia & Josh/Tina.

We walked back to guest house. On the way we ran into the rest of our group. We all ate lunch at the Bakery Cafe. Wonderful momos. Then we stopped & got some groceries for a trail lunch.
At 3:00 we hired a taxi to take all 6 of us to Nagarkot. Again, traffic here is hard to explain--crazy does not do it justice. Getting out of the city was hard, then the road up the mountain was awful--tore up, narrow, curvy, lots of honking to let oncoming traffic know we are coming…
Nagarkot is a tourist village with views of the Himalayas. It is so dusty/cloudy here that we not see the mountains.
We stayed at the Peaceful Cottage Resort. We had a beautiful room. No hot or drinkable water. The others stayed at the Hotel at the End of the Universe. Hannah and I talked to a couple from South Africa, who now live in Singapore, on the patio. We are supper at the other hotel’s restaurant.
Back to hotel. Very cold night with no heat. Up at 5:00 am to have devotions as a group & try to see Himalayas at sunrise.
