I did it. I don't think I will do it again. But I'm glad I did it once.
I've been growing my hair out to donate since before my grandma passed away. My grandma wore wigs a lot when she was sick. They made her feel dignified and pretty. My grandma was beautiful even without her wig. I am thankful for others who donated and provided for those wigs.
Warning: A thick ponytail looks rather gross when cut off.
I am posting this because someday when my hair is thin & grey it will make me smile (or cry) to remember how thick my hair was!
Sorry, no after pics right now. I'm still dealing with my short, (kind of) curly hair. I had never been to this hairdresser before. I told her my hair was curly but I don't think she believed me. She gave me a straight cut...my sister thinks I need to go back and have her shape it up a bit. Phillip's loving comment was, "It'll grow." : )
